Various sizes of flowers have been seen. The sizes noted up to present are noted below. Due to inaccuracies in the cutting and the flexibility of the backing, the sizes given are only approximate but they should be within a couple of mm. It may be that there are silks from different issuers within each group and that possibly the sizes may be slightly different. Until the silks can be positively identified and the intended sizes determined, I will leave them grouped as below.

These flowers correspond to the size given in the Reunion "Vorlagen für Handarbeiten" for large silks. Some of them have been identified in the examples given therein.

Is this a flower or a butterfly? |
The Reunion "Vorlagen für Handarbeiten" refers to the size 42 x 52mm. It is not clear whether all were issued by Reunion, but those identified in the booklet are marked. I have noted several designs which appear in the booklet which are however described as being made with large silks so for the present I have decided that these are different ones.
