Reunion issued silk embroideries in packets of "Fürst Pückler" and "Gela" cigarettes. The company also produced a booklet called "Vorlagen für Handarbeiten" giving illustrations of things which could be made using the embroideries.

The embroideries came in three different sizes. Small ones were ca. 42 x 52 cm, depicting flowers, birds, butterflies and animals. Large ones were ca. 52 x 75 cm, also depicting flowers, birds, butterflies and animals. Other large ones were ca. 49 x 72 cm, made of "half silk". These depicted flowers, animals and birds. The description indicates that these were these were the nicest and issued in packs of 25 Gela cigarettes. The embroidery itself was silk with white half-silk backing.

There are no specific illustrations of the motifs. However the various works suggested in the book show illustrations from which it is possible to identify some of them with reasonable certainty. For example the illustration on the left shows a suggestion for a table mat made from large embroideries. The motif on the right is clearly the one shown in the BL and TR corners of the mat. Others are illustrated on the anonymous silks page.

Reunion claimed to have a monopoly on the issue of these silks in Germany. However similar issues are known in other countries such as the Dutch Turmac issues.

Reunion also issued a four "seasons", each made up of sixteen motifs. These are labelled Dess (Dessin) B, C, D and E. Comparison with the booklet indicates that B is Spring (Frühling), C is Autumn (Herbst), D is Summer (Sommer) and E is Winter (Winter). They were intended to be sewn together in a 4x4 pattern. Each motif has a border sewn around it in the same colour as the background indicating the line along which they were to be sewn together.

There is also a Dess A which appears to consist of 25 motifs. This is not mentioned in the booklet and so was presumably not issued by Reunion.

Different issuers appear to have used different variations of silk colour. Alan Stevens states that the German issues have a darker green to the others.

Half silk: a fabric in which the threads running in one direction are silk and in the other direction another material, usually wool or cotton.
