After world war 1, Germany was forced to make crippling reparations which ruined the economy. Large amounts of German territory were taken away and the size of the German armed forces was restricted by the treaty of Versailles which Germany was forced to sign. It was Hitler's stated policy to free Germany from the treaty of Versailles and reunite greater Germany, an aim which met with much support atthe time. This set details Hitler's rise to power
