Errors and Variations:
There are at least six different versions of this set, five Josetti and one Jasmatzi. The first back shown is known both with plain fronts like series 1 and also varnished fronts. The others appear to have only varnished fronts. The second back shown differs from the first in that the text below the card number refers to "Die geschlossene Serie" (the complete set) rather than to "Diese zweite Serie" (this second set). The third back shown is similar to the first except that "JOSETTI" is now of the same width as "Cigarettenfabrik" in the line above it whereas previously it was narrower. Also the decoration is different (see detail) and the panel containing the text is slightly shorter. The fourth version is similar to the third except that the text panel is even shorter.
The Jasmatzi cards all appear to have the same back and have varnished fronts.
