Between 1926 and 1931 Greiling issued thousands of sport cards. It is difficult to have an overview of what was issued as there are many series with confusingly similar names. For example the coloured "Sportbilder" (sport pictures) series also include Fußballsport (football) cards and it is easy to mistake these as being part of the Fußballsport series. Although albums were produced, these were blank albums into which collectors could insert any cards they wanted so it is not possible to use the albums as an indication of which series were issued and which cards belong to them. The earliest cards were black and white, the later ones coloured. Below I have tried to provide an overview of which series are known. In time I hope to provide more detailed illustrations of them. |
