This is one of the smaller German sets. The introduction to the album talks of Germany having lost WW1. However one should not be downhearted. Take a lesson in courage from King Frederic.
The cards show pictures from the Ufa film of the same name. They are black (actually sepia) and white pictures printed on unfaced paper. There are two different sized versions of the set. The cards of the smaller version are 64x36mm with "Series 3" indicated on the back. There is also a larger 99x64mm set which indicates "series 4" on the back.

The album for the series was a double album and also includes the set Wege zu Kraft und Schönheit. It is a slip-in album although the design is somewhat unusual. The pages are made of card with a paper covering including holes through which the cards are visible, glued on. The cards can be slid in between the paper and card from the side of the page. |
