This series of 120 cards shows ships of the German navy from 1848 to 1932, along with a few pictures of famous admirals. The set shows several ships lost in the "heroic deed of Scapa Flow". In 1919 the Germans scuttled their navy which had been interned in Scapa Flow after world war 1, rather than let it fall into British hands.
